It's a perfect day at the beach, and only one thing is left to settle: whose sandcastle reigns supreme?

In Sandcastles, everyone builds their own sandcastle tile by tile over 15 rounds. Each round, tiles are revealed one at a time and passed around the table — and you must decide in the moment: claim the current tile, or hold out for something better? Choose carefully, because once you take a tile, your round is over, whatever turns up next.

Claimed tiles are added to your 5x5 castle grid. Sand tiles stack up from the ground following the rules of gravity, while sky tiles float above and settle onto your castle at game end.

Clever building pays off:

• Windows score by row, with points jumping at key thresholds
• Starfish score next to matching colours — collect all five for a bonus
• Shells, shovels, and buckets score flat points, with end-game bonuses for collecting the most
• Fill your top row with sky tiles for a final bonus
