Pylos
In Pylos, you want to be the one who places the final ball on top of the pyramid. Sounds simple enough!
Each player has fifteen balls (light or dark) and takes turns placing them on a board with a 4×4 grid of indentations. Once four balls form a square, a ball can be placed on top of them, building a second level, then a third, until a single final ball can be placed on the fourth level — winning the game. Form a square of your own colour and you may return one or two of your balls (that don’t support anything) to your reserve, giving you more to place later. Form a square that isn’t all your colour and you can ‘stack’ a ball on top instead of placing from your reserve. Variants are included for children and for experts.
