Kelp: Shark vs Octopus
Kelp is a two-player asymmetrical game set in a South African kelp forest, where you delve into the natural world of pyjama sharks and common octopuses. Hide-and-seek meets bluffing and manipulation; deck-building meets dice-bag building.
The Octopus, cunning and adaptable, sneaks around the board by playing cards and managing its hidden and revealed blocks, channelling the creature’s gift for camouflage and deception. The Shark, a ruthless predator, patrols its territory and hunts the elusive Octopus by rolling dice and using special abilities to mitigate luck.
There are three ways the game ends:
- the Shark wins by successfully attacking the Octopus,
- the Octopus wins by surviving until the Shark is exhausted, or
- the Octopus wins by eating all four seafoods.
