Emberheart
The mystical island of Emberheart is home to the last dragons. They were living in harmony with the villagers until poachers from the Distant Lands arrived to capture, raid, and plunder. To keep the island safe, the Dragon Ambassador now seeks the King’s support. As one of the King’s champions, your mission is to join forces with the villagers, rescue and protect the dragons, and stand against the evil poachers.
Over five rounds, you and your opponents send Parties of Hirelings to locations across the island to recruit Heroes, rescue Dragons, expand Preserves, and launch counterattacks from the Garrison. Each player can train their own Dragon Companion's Attributes, such as Strength, Senses, and Speed, shaping their strategy as the game unfolds.
To visit locations, you need parties of Hirelings: Grunts are versatile but single-use, while Scouts, Rangers, and Wardens are permanent, but limited to specific locations. The poachers will not rest, and in the Raid Phase, you must assign Hirelings to repair the damage they cause or risk raising your Flame. Keep your Flame lower than your rivals’ for extra Glory at the end of the game.
Victory goes to the champion with the most Glory from rescued Dragons, completed Garrison missions, recruited Heroes, and their Dragon Companion’s growth.
